(Click pic to embiggenate)  If you are looking at the text on the above picture with confusion, you are not familar with the Honey Badger meme, so I direct you here to catch up.  This was an odd piece to work on. I had thought it would be fun/neat to make a superhero based on the honey badger, but as I started working on it I realized I was in a minefield of potential “-isms”.  Making the character white and male seemed to be low hanging fruit, and the name “Honey Badger” reminds me of ‘70’s blacksploitation films, which are fun to riff on, but I’m some random white guy, and is it really appropriate for me to do that sort of thing?  Long story sort, all of the talk about content in comics lately made me a bit neurotic about my ability do create a character like this without it seeming racist or sexist. In the end, I just said “fuck it” and did my best to try and make a fun character based on a goofy internet meme. Feel free to let me know in the comments if you think I failed, and why, so I can avoid it in the future.  Ah! Details about the character- She’s basically a Wolverine rip-off. Healing factor, only she feels no pain (ref the Honey Badger vid), and instead of claws that pop out, her arms bulk up and she exudes an organic adamantium shell around her hands/claws. Then she kills people and doesn’t give a fuck.   (I censored the “fuck” because I was treating it like a newsstand comic pinup.)
